Hosta 'Frosted Mouse Ears' is a sport of the very popular Hosta 'Blue Mouse Ears'. The round, blue-green leaves of Hosta 'Frosted Mouse Ears' are surrounded by a wide, creamy white border that emerges gold. It forms a 7" tall x 1' wide clump with spikes of lavender hummingbird-friendly flowers in early summer. The growth rate of Hosta 'Frosted Mouse Ears' is slow and it will need moist soil as well as an open space not crowded by larger encroaching plants. In the miniature or fairy shade garden it is perfect because it stays so small for several years. If it outgrows its space it can easily be divided.
