This mat-forming perennial has dark green, hairy leaves and stems. It is a multi-branched ground cover that can grow nearly a foot tall while spreading wide.
From late spring to summer, expect small, 5-petaled flowers in a vibrant blue or white color. It is an ideal plant for rock gardens, pathways, borders, edges, walls, patios and small, sloped areas. It is deer resistant and remains evergreen in warm climates.
Lithodora difusa is best grown in light to moderate shade and prefers fertile, moist, well-drained soils. Soils should not be allowed to dry out. Mediterranean-type climates are best, as it is native to the Mediterranean region, including southwestern Europe, Turkey, Morocco.
