Description:

This is truly an unusual plant. An alpine from New Zealand, the plant forms a completely flat carpet of grey foliage that will creep between and over small boulders. Its yellow flowers are tiny, plentiful and quite insignificant. An interesting choice for the miniature garden, fairy garden, alpine or trough garden. However planted outside the plant offers a challenge to the gardener to find just the right spot with excellent drainage. Plants will die off in average border conditions. The clumps can be divided in early spring. It brings an extremely fine and delicate texture to the garden. It does best in average to evenly moist conditions, but will not tolerate standing water.

It is also known by the common name of Vegetable Sheep or Mat Daisy.
