Try to find a cuter trio than this. Go on— we dare you! Tiny Terra Cotta Pots, Set of 3 Hen and Chicks is the small, manageable set of new plants you’ve been searching for. Three itsy-bitsy terra cotta pots are filled with right-sized hen and chicks, ready to be transplanted or kept right where they are. Line them up on a window sill, cluster together as a centerpiece, or use your imagination to otherwise style these beauties. We have used the Sempervivum hirta borealis for these pots.

Each pot comes with its own succulent forming a cluster of rosette shapes. The larger “parent” rosettes are known as the hens, while the smaller ones that spring off of them are called chicks. While this plant will stay low-growing, forming a mat just 4-inches tall at most, it can spread in width to be 2-feet or larger. After flowering, the mother hen will die, but you can split off the chicks and transplant them. Outside, they love to make a home in the nooks and crannies of rock gardens, stone walls, and stepping stones.
