Corokia cotoneaster
Wire Netting Bush

Silver grey

The Skeleton Tree is a highly unusual plant. The dark, twisting stems, each feathered with a tiny flint arrowhead of a leaf, give this plant a metallic, sculptural quality. Despite its common name of wire-netting bush, the silvery down on the foliage makes it soft and woolly to the touch. Try looking real close at the leaves and you will see that they are intricately zig-zagging and the tiny leaves are dark grey on the upper surface and pale grey beneath. It lends itself nicely to a bonsai or miniature tree for the fairy garden. We love using it in the Halloween and
Thanksfiveing fairy and miniature garden.

Corokias catoneaster is a southern-hemisphere member of the dogwood family. It take its generic name from the Maori word for the plant. The plant has a lightly scented, star-shaped, yellow flowers in the summer and is followed by berries that vary in color from orange to red and occasionally yellow.

Miniatures are small items that pose potential choking hazards to small children. They are not toys. Any accessories pictured are not included and are for illustrative purposes only.
