Before You Get Started
If you want to make a path in your fairy garden you probably already have an idea of what style or theme you are creating. We choose the kind of paths we are making according to the color of the fairy cottage used or the foliage color but also what the path leads up to.
#1 Stepping Stone Walkway
This path is using patio mix, so it is no doubt the strongest and most durable. It will not be washed away by a heavy rain or get overgrown by plants, so keep that in mind when choosing.
Ingredients
How to Create
You start out compressing the soil where the path will be. Insert the edging that confines the path. Add sand as a base and then a layer of the patio mix. Next, you lay out the stepping stones in a pattern you like. You can tamper them down with a piece of wood or brick to make it level. Now you add some more patio mix. It will fall in between the stones and between the stones and the edging. Brush or blow the excess patio mix away and then mist the path several times until the water pools. Go back a couple more times and repeat this even hours later to make sure it is wet. If you wish to, you can remove the edging later when it is completely dry (about 2 days).
