Visiting Fairies in the Miniature Garden

Imagine a group of tiny fairies gathering at an evening, miniature garden party for a celebration filled with friends and family. Each fairy's personality is "frozen in time" with his or her captured looks, but similarities to all the fairies, attending the event, are noticeable. Sometimes when planning a scene in the fairy garden, I look for fairies that are sold in a set so that they match and coordinate.

Thinking about my next fairy festivity, which is hosted by the Fairy Friends family during a nighttime picnic, I will select a location near the fairy house where a bed of ‘Lemon Cypress’ encircles the picnic area. Fairy Friends is a collection of fairies designed by an American artist, whose fairies have a similar look. Wearing dresses with details such as flowers, belts, collars, and contrasting colors, their outfits have special touches that make each fairy unique. All dressed up to the host the party; the girls invited the smaller trio of fairy friends to their picnic. Each season, new fairies are added to the collection, which includes both boy and girl fairies. These fairies and their guests, available for purchase in miniature-gardening shops, come in a variety of colors, and you can select one or all of the fairies to add to your party scene.

When you are setting up a picnic, the first thing you may want to do is to lay down several blankets within your miniature garden, so all of your guests have a place to rest, eat, and drink. Above their heads, from miniature plant to plant, consider hanging a strand of battery operated twinkle lights that will gently shine over this gathering of loved ones. Think of furnishing each blanket with trays holding drinks and food so that this evening is completely relaxing to each guest.

It is a wonderful idea to add miniature accessories to the colorful blanket so that there is an assortment of yummy items. I love the look of a round, metal tub where the ice never melts, and it is full of vintage soda bottles. The blanket, designated for food, encourages friends to share their precious treats with one another. Another red-and-white gingham blanket could hold a couple of dessert options such as ice cream where there are pre-made vanilla and strawberry ice cream cones on a stand. This treat, as well as mom's pie, could be shared from fairy to fairy.  For the main course, you may want to make sure that you have some classic, outdoor food such as a hot dog and some chips along with a hamburger and fries – they both look super yummy. The fairy friends and families are going to spend the evening filling their stomachs with homemade food cooked with love.
